Our Story

Hard Shampoo Co is a family-owned business based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. With four kids and a go-go-go life, it's easy to lose sight of the things that matter, like taking care of our environment. We made the switch to shampoo and conditioner bars to try to reduce our consumption of single-use plastic. But, let's face it, big families like to shop big discounts. Hair bars are often considered a luxury item, despite the fact that bar soap has been around since 2800 BCE! With a desire to teach our kids about entrepreneurship, and seeing the need for high-quality, affordable shampoo and conditioner bars, Hard Shampoo Co was born.
